What is the GR GT Meister Training experience?

This four-day immersive training experience has been created for a hand-selected group of Lexus dealership associates to deepen their product knowledge, driving capability and Guest engagement skills through hands-on learning, track time and GR storytelling.

Will I get to drive the GR GT during this training event?

No. While the GR GT will be a key part of the learning journey, it will not be driven during this event. Phase two of the GR GT Meister Training will be planned as a 2027 initiative once running prototypes are available to drive.

Why was I selected to attend?

Participants have been thoughtfully selected by their dealership leadership based on their role, guest engagement skills, and opportunity to help bring the GR story to life with future Guests.

What should I expect to experience at this training?

The program blends heritage and product immersion, hands-on learning, driving experiences, collaborative discussion, and final-day presentations focused on bringing your GR story to life.

Where does the training take place?

Days 1 and 4 will be held at the GR Experience Center, with Days 2 and 3 taking place at the Eagles Canyon Raceway.

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable attire, per the following recommendations: 

  • Days 1 and 4 at the GR Experience Center will be indoors. Jeans, khakis or golf pants, and polo or casual button-down shirts are recommended. Please wear closed-toed shoes.
  • Days 2 and 3 will be at the racetrack. Temperatures are expected to be near triple-digits and you will engage in heavy activity in the vehicles. Please dress comfortably in athleisure and lightweight clothing. Shorts and T-shirts are permitted, as you will wear race suits while driving. Please wear closed-toed shoes—sneakers or driving shoes are recommended.
  • Dinners and receptions: Business casual is recommended.

What should I pack?

Please pack the recommended attire above. A logbook and pen will be provided for you; you will not need to bring a laptop or tablet. 

Do I need to bring a credit card?

Yes. You should bring your credit card. When you check into the hotel, you will need to provide your credit card to cover any incidentals. Your accommodations for four nights at the hotel are covered, but incidentals are your responsibility.

Do I need to bring my driver’s license?

Yes. Please bring a valid driver’s license to the event. You will be driving vehicles at the racetrack.

Do I need prior track or performance driving experience?

No. Prior advanced driving experience is not required, beginners are welcome. Professional instructors and facilitators will guide all activities at your respective skill level.

What will I be driving at the track?

You will drive the current fleet of GR vehicles: GR Supra, GR Corolla, GR 86 and GR 86 racecars. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to drive and evaluate select GR GT competitors.

Which meals are included?

All meals are included: breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Every activity is curated to develop and support your learning, including dinners. Your participation is required.

Where is the hotel?

Accommodations are provided at the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West, located at 6007 Legacy Drive, Plano, TX 75024.

Now that I know my training session date, do I need to book my own hotel?

No. We will take care of securing your hotel room at Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West.

What time do I need to arrive to the hotel?

Please arrive to the hotel by 4:00 p.m. on your arrival date. 

Do I have to pay for my own hotel room?

No. Accommodations for four nights at the hotel are covered by this program, including the nightly rate, parking (if you are local), taxes and fees. However, you are responsible for paying for any incidentals.

Can I stay at the hotel longer than the four nights that are covered by the program?

Yes. You may extend your stay if there is availability at the hotel—however, you will be personally responsible for paying for any extra nights. If you want to extend your stay, please indicate this on your travel questionnaire (the link is in your Session Confirmation email) or inform the GR GT Meister Training Concierge as soon as possible. Once they check, they will let you know if the hotel has availability for those additional nights.

Is my air transportation covered?

No. Your dealership is responsible for covering your air transportation.

How do I get to the hotel from the airport?

Uber, Lyft, or taxi is recommended to get to the hotel. You are responsible for your own transportation to the hotel; transfers are not provided. It is recommended that you do not get a rental car because once you check in at the hotel, all other ground transportation is provided to all event locations.   

Will transportation be provided throughout the program?

Yes. Transportation will be provided throughout the program, including shuttles to DFW and DAL airports upon program conclusion.

Do I need a rental car?

No. Rental cars are not recommended, as all transportation will be provided from the moment you check in to the hotel through your drop-off at the airport.

What if I cannot get a flight out after 6:30 p.m. on the last day?

Please contact the GR GT Meister Training Concierge and let them know your situation. If you need to stay an additional night due to unavailable flights after 6:30 p.m., we will accommodate you at the same hotel if a room is still available. If there is no availability, we will find another hotel.

Do I need to stay at the hotel if I am local?  

Yes. Staying at the hotel is required due to group travel to/from the training facilities and restaurants.  

Can I drive myself to the training if I am local?

Yes. Please arrive to the Renaissance hotel by 4:00 p.m. on your arrival day. You may valet your vehicle at no cost.

Can dietary, accessibility or other accommodations be supported?

Yes. Please share any dietary restrictions, accessibility needs or special accommodations in advance with our GR GT Meister Training Concierge so the team can support your experience.

Can I arrive late or leave early?

No. To receive full certification as a GR GT Meister, you must participate in the entire duration of the training. 

Can I cancel and reschedule my session?

Sessions and space are very limited. We ask that you commit to the session you have selected. In the event of an emergency, we will review change requests on a case-by-case basis.

Can I bring a “+1” (spouse, partner, friend) with me to this program?

No. All GR GT Meister events (Welcome Reception, training and dinners) are for registered GR GT Meisters only. This helps ensure that all Meisters can stay fully focused during this immersive and collaborative learning experience and build valuable connections with their peers during the reception and dinners.
